The Israel Defense Forces’ press office reported that on September 1st, Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi visited the site where IDF forces discovered the bodies of six hostages killed by terrorists. He was accompanied by the Commander of the Southern Military District and Nitzan Alon, who is responsible for issues concerning the kidnapped and missing persons in the army.
Herzi Halevi met with the commanders and soldiers who participated in the operation.
A meeting was held on-site to assess the situation and discuss the next steps in the operation.
