Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited the northern border, where he met with soldiers from the 188th Armored Brigade «Barak» and fighters from the «Golani» Brigade. During the visit, he received reports from Brigadier General Yaakov (Kobi) Heller and Colonel Or Valjinsky on the readiness of their units for expanded military operations in the area of the Israel-Lebanon border.
Gallant discussed with the commanders and soldiers of the 188th Brigade their experience serving in the Gaza sector and their recent redeployment to the Lebanese border. He emphasized that the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah is an important step, but there is still much work ahead. «To safely return the northern residents to their homes, we will use all available resources, including your units,» the minister stated. «This is the mission of the IDF, and we will deploy all forces — from the air, from the sea, and on the ground.»
