On August 31, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, conducted an assessment of the situation in the city of Jenin, located in Judea and Samaria, as part of an ongoing military operation, according to military sources.
Halevi was accompanied by Major General Avi Bluth, Head of the Central Command; Brigadier General Yaki Dolf, Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division; and Colonel Ayoub Kayuf, Commander of the «Menashe» Regional Brigade.
«We are eliminating sources of terrorism originating from the refugee camps in Judea and Samaria,» Halevi stated, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
