During his visit to Tehran, Rafael Grossi called on Israel to refrain from attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. In his statement, Grossi emphasized that such sites should not be targeted for attacks. His comments came in response to remarks from Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, who recently stated that Iran is “more vulnerable than ever.”

Grossi also highlighted the importance of achieving progress in negotiations with Tehran, which he believes could help prevent escalation of conflict in the Middle East. He stressed that tangible and visible steps demonstrating an improved situation are necessary to avoid a widespread war in the region.

Amid Grossi’s visit, Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s nuclear agency, declared that Iran would take countermeasures in response to any resolution hindering its nuclear program. Eslami underscored that any attempt at interference would face “immediate counteractions.”
