The Israel Defense Forces has reported carrying out strikes on Houthi terrorist group targets in Yemen in response to their attempts to attack Israel. The operation, named «White City,» was authorized by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

According to the IDF, the strikes targeted locations on Yemen’s western coast and deep within its territory. Dozens of fighter jets and refueling aircraft participated in the operation, which involved precision strikes approximately 2,000 kilometers from Israel.

IDF spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, stated that Israeli forces attacked military targets, including ports and energy infrastructure in Sana’a, used by the Houthis for military operations. He also emphasized that Iran is behind the actions of the Houthis, and Israel will protect its citizens from any threats.

Yemeni TV channel «Al-Masirah,» linked to the Houthis, reported strikes on the Hodeidah port, an oil facility in Ras Issa, and power plants in the Sana’a area. According to the channel, fires broke out due to the attacks, and power was cut in the capital. The Houthis reported nine casualties, identified as employees from the oil and energy sectors. Information on casualties and damage is still being verified.
